Tony Stewart comments on his win:

"The car had so much speed. We needed to be out front there at the end. I couldn't stay behind Kyle. I got a run going into one and got by him. I think Kyle's car handled better than ours did, but it sure was fast in a straight line."

This is Stewart's third win in this race at Daytona.

Lap 120 -- Stewart holds off a charge from Busch and Earnhardt to get the win.

Lap 117 -- Stewart goes to the lead with help from Earnhardt, Stewart and Busch race side by side for the lead and Stewart has the lead.

Lap 116 -- Vickers jumps to the outside of Busch and takes the lead, but Busch fights back on the inside.

Restart Lap 115 (Six laps to go) -- Top 5: Busch-Stewart-Vickers-Truex-Edwards

Lap 111 -- Trouble unfolds in turn 4 when Kahne and Steve Wallace spin across the track, collecting a dozen others. Stanton Barrett, Johnny Sauter, Kevin Harvick, Jason Keller and Mike Wallace are all involved. Caution is out. All seven cars drive away from the accident but all sustain damage.

Lap 111 -- Stewart gets behind Busch for second as Truex settles for third. The pack races wheel to wheel behind them.

Lap 108 -- The leaders start jockeying for position. Vickers and Busch race for the lead in what looks like a high speed pace lap. Busch prevails.

Lap 105 -- Earnhardt goes high with Truex in tow and passes Reutimann for fourth.

Lap 103 -- Earnhardt finds drafting help in Truex and the two start fighting back on the inside, still out of the top 5.

Lap 101 -- Earnhardt goes for the lead on the inside but has no drafting help. He falls out of the top 5.

Restart Lap 101 (20 laps to go) -- Top 10: Busch-Earnhardt-Stewart-Vickers-Reutimann-Hamlin-Clauson-Ragan-Edwards-Biffle

Lap 98 -- The lead lap cars pit for tires. Truex overshoots his pit stall and loses valuable time. Busch leads Earnhardt off pit road as Truex falls outside the top 10.

Lap 97 -- The caution flag waves for debris on the racetrack after Ambrose blows another tire.

Lap 94 -- Bowyer slaps the turn 2 wall and falls off the pace and out of contention.

Lap 88 -- Truex wedges his way to the inside and to second. Bowyer fights back for third as Hamlin falls to fourth.

Lap 86 -- Hamlin hangs Bowyer out to dry to take second. Truex moves to third.

Lap 85 -- Bowyer goes low and shuffles Busch out of the top 5 as he goes to second.

Restart Lap 82 -- Top 10: Stewart-Busch-Truex-Bowyer-Franchitti-Hamlin-Vickers-Earnhardt-Kahne-Edwards

Lap 79 -- The lead lap cars pit and Tony Stewart sneaks off pit road first. He's followed by Busch, Bowyer, Truex and Dario Franchitti. Barring another caution, the leaders will not pit again.

Lap 78 -- Marcos Ambrose cuts a tire and sprays debris all over the backstretch. The second caution comes out. All the leaders should pit. The caution gives Kevin Harvick his lap back.

Lap 75 -- The inside lane heats up again and Busch holds the lead with Stewart now in tow. Bowyer settles into third.

Lap 73 -- Bowyer jumps to the outside and gets several cars to follow him. He goes after Busch for the lead, but Busch jumps in front to block him.

Lap 68 -- Racing at the front settles down as Busch, Stewart, Bowyer, Truex and Vickers run single file.

Lap 63 -- Busch breaks the deadlock and takes the lead. Racing is hot and heavy for second on back and the man on the move is Tony Stewart. He's now third.

Lap 61 -- The leaders race two-by-two with Truex and Busch battling for the top spot.

Restart Lap 59 -- Top 10: Truex-Busch-Vickers-Bowyer-Stewart-Mike Wallace-Reutimann-Hamlin-Labonte-Wimmer

Lap 56 -- The leaders pit and Busch beats Truex off pit road. A closer look reveals that Truex won the race in the pits.

Lap 55 -- Mark Green and David Gilliland tangle in turn 2, sending Gilliland head-on into the wall. The first caution of the day comes out.

Lap 49 -- Earnhardt has moved into tenth with Kenseth sneaking up to 11th. The top three cars lead this battle by half a lap, but the leaders are in lap traffic.

Lap 42 -- Green flag pit stops cycle through and Truex now leads. He, Vickers and Busch have formed a three-car lead draft.
Top 10 -- Truex-Vickers-Busch-Stewart-Bowyer-Hamlin-Labonte-Harvick-Kahne-Wimmer

Lap 37 -- The lead cars pit under green for four tires and fuel. Truex leads the race off pit road followed by Vickers and Busch.

Lap 32 -- Steve Wallace pits for four tires and fuel. Expect green flag pit stops to begin in full swing in about five laps.

Lap 30 -- Fighting a tight racecar, Stewart continues to lose ground. Bowyer has passed him to relegate him back to sixth, and now he's under pressure from Kasey Kahne. At the front, Hamlin has gone to the inside line to go for the lead. He settles for third right now.

Lap 25 -- Stewart is fading through the field. Vickers passes him to take third and Denny Hamlin gets by him for fourth. Clint Bowyer has come back through the field to challenge Stewart for fifth.

Lap 23 -- Busch goes past Stewart on the inside to take the lead. Truex moves to second as Stewart falls to third.

Lap 21 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. passes David Reutimann to move into the top 10.

Lap 18 -- David Stremme parks his car with a sour engine. Steve Grissom has also gone to the garage.

Lap 17 -- Truex gets underneath Vickers to take the third position, but a four-car breakaway has turned into a 10-car lead draft.

Lap 10 -- The field continues to spread out, but the race for fifth is on. Stewart, Busch and Brian Vickers run 1-2-3 as Truex and Harvick race fourth and fifth.

Lap 7 -- Things at the front settle down as the top 10 cars race single file. Bowyer, the outside pole sitter, has fallen all the way to 21st.

Lap 4 -- Stewart leads while teammate Kyle Busch has climbed all the way to second. They run single file while the pack races two-by-two behind them.

Green Flag -- Tony Stewart shoots out to lead early to lead the first lap, but the pack behind him races three-wide.

Johnny Sauter, David Gilliland, David Stremme, Cale Gale, Steve Grissom and Kertus Davis will move to the rear of the field for the start.

1:20 -- The engines have fired on the NASCAR Nationwide Series cars here at Daytona as they prepare for the Camping World 300. 43 cars will race 120 laps around this 2.5-mile tri-oval.

Tony Stewart will lead the field to green with Clint Bowyer on the outside pole.

Carl Edwards finished the final practice for the Daytona 500 at the top of the speed chart with a lap at over 191 mph. He's followed by John Andretti, Kyle Petty, Robby Gordon and Greg Biffle. Early in the practice session, Clint Bowyer slapped the turn 4 wall. He has since returned to the track in his car missing its right side decals.

Several drivers, including Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon, decided to run just a few laps around the 2.5-mile tri-oval and quit practice early.
