Live updates from the Trinity Catholic and North Marion playoff games.

Welcome to Week One of the high school football playoffs, brought to you locally by The Sports Blog at ocala.com.
Anywhere in the state that Marion County-based prep football programs are participating in postseason football, we've got people on it. Andy Marks made the trek to Jacksonville for no other reason than to relay information to our loyal readers via The Sports Blog and Saturday's Star-Banner. Byron Saucer is out at North Marion, where I would be if not for two extenuating circumstances: one, the difficulty in procuring a reliable signal by which to convey updates, and two, it's cold. Nonetheless, I'll be here in my 72-degree office, with the Magic game on in the background and maybe a hot cocoa. And I'll be updating instantly when I hear from our intrepid field soldiers.
You probably don't need to know the deal tonight, but if you do, Saucer laid down what's what in today's Star-Banner with a story and capsules.
On we go:
CLASS 3A REGIONAL QUARTERFINAL
Nature Coast
@ North Marion
TD UPDATE: Albert Gary's going to win this game himself. Colts unleash a 6-play, 63-yard drive - all of it Gary - capped off with a 12-yard Gary run. 7-0 North Marion with 8:37 to play.
FG UPDATE: Cade Smith nails a 34-yard kick for a 10-0 Colts lead with 2:59 in the first.
TD UPDATE: Nature Coast gets on the board on a 4-yard run by Tevin Drake. 2-point conversion fails, making it 10-6 with 10:18 to play before half.
TD UPDATE: Gary does it again, this time with a 6-yard TD run. Colts lead 17-6 with 4:25 before half.
HALFTIME UPDATE: 17-6, Colts.
UPDATE: Third quarter's underway.
FG UPDATE: Cade Smith makes his second field goal of the game for the Colts, a 19-yard kick that puts North Marion up 2 TDs at 20-6.
TD UPDATE: Drake punches in a 1-yard run to bring Nature Coast within 7. With 2:59 to play in the third, it's 20-13 North Marion.
TD UPDATE: Colts are locking this one up. Gary's third TD is an 88-yard monster, putting the home team up 27-13 with 3:58 to play.
TD UPDATE: Eddie Rocker gets a TD to blow this one wide open at the end. Rocker's 6-yard score gives the Colts a 34-13 lead with under a minute left.
FINAL: North Marion 34, Nature Coast 13. Colts will play Crystal River, who beat Williston 53-49.
CLASS 2B SEMIFINAL
Trinity Catholic
@ Jacksonville Episcopal
UPDATE: Game's underway in Jax. A cold, clear night, a full stadium. Celtics get the ball first.
UPDATE: Celtics botch a punt snap, and the turnover on downs gives JE the ball in the red.
TD UPDATE: Home team cashes in. Kane Sears keeps it from 1 yard out, kick is good, Episcopal leads 7-0 with 8:30 to play.
UPDATE: Celtics force a 3-and-out, and take over the ball late in the first.
UPDATE: Trinity goes for it on 4th down and comes up short, giving JE another possession in Celtics territory with a minute to play in the first.
UPDATE: First quarter ends at 7-0, Trinity behind and with the ball as JE mishandles what was to be a 43-yard FG attempt.
UPDATE: Tremaine Scott gets the Celtics defense on the board before the offense. Scott sacks QB Clark Bledsoe in the end zone, giving Trinity its first 2 points. 7-2 Celtics, 6:41.
UPDATE: Celtics special teams joins the party. Derrick Dempsey returns the kick 80 yards for Trinity's first TD. Dempsey comes up short on the 2-attempt, making it 8-7 Trinity with 6:26 to play.
HALFTIME UPDATE: Trinity 8, Episcopal 7. TC QB Rob Henry has completed 11 of 18 passes for 123 yards to four different receivers.
UPDATE: Trinity's on the doorstep with 6:38 in the third after recovering a JE fumble. Celtics are in the red zone.
FG UPDATE: Celtics kicker Frankie Velez converts a 31-yard field goal, pushing the Trinity lead to 11-7 with 4:50 to play in the third.
UPDATE: JE forces Trinity into 3-and-out, then fumbles the punt return. Trinity's driving again with 2:30 in the third.
UPDATE: Trinity punter Wyatt Stephens pins JE on their own 2, potentially setting the stage for another safety. 1:46 to play.
UPDATE: Celtics don't get the safety, but they do hold for a 3-and-out, and take over inside the JE 35 after a short punt. They'll go into the fourth quarter with possession and a good look at expanding their 11-7 lead.
UPDATE: Trinity's pulling away on a bold play call from Nattiel. On 4th and inches, Dempsey breaks off a 24-yard TD run. XP failed, but the Celtics lead 17-7.
UPDATE: Celtics on the brink of advancing. They stop a JE drive and take over in enemy territory with a 10-point lead and 2 minutes on the clock.
FINAL: Trinity 17, Jax Episcopal 7. Celtics will face Newberry, who beat Trinity Christian 46-28.
