I was fortunate enough to be invited to Hammett Bowen Jr. Elementary School to read a chapter of their anti-bullying book Cold As Ice. I got Chapter 16 about the photographer presenting his evidence. I liked the book. I read it in their studio. I guess all the fifth graders watched it on their televisions. I like reading to live children better but I guess now I get to see how it is on the other side of the camera. That's alright, Carol Runge took me on a little tour and I did get to speak to Ms. Del Valle's 5th grade class. I was really impressed with them. These are pictures of them.

They asked really great and insightful questions. A couple have aspirations to be photographers. I hope they stick with it. If they can weather all the distractions they will face, starting now will give them large advantages in the future. I think I wanted to be a photographer at their age.
