Here are two photos from the past week that did not make the print version of the Star-Banner. A man and his dog in front of his home that is at least 122 years old, is one I would love to share with you.
Frank Ciotti, owner of the 1885 McFadden-Ciotti house, located near the corner of 7th Street and Avenue 4, next to the Van Ness Park, in McIntosh, Fla., holds his dog Tucker. Ciotti was one of the many people on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007 at the McIntosh 1890's Festival. His house is a Greek Gothic design with double porches. The house was not open for public viewing.
Some of the historic buildings, such as the McIntosh Presbyterian Church, see photo below, located on Avenue F, next Ciotti’s home, allowed visitors to see the historic church that has been in the same location since 1907. A charter was established for the church in 1885, according to church member Aleida Levine, of Flemmington.

The festival is over, but you can always stroll around the Van Ness Park and the beautiful streets of Mcintosh, just north of Ocala in Marion County.
According to my edition of the souvenir edition of the McIntosh Gazette, The Light Up McIntosh will be on Dec. 15, 2007. Frank Ciotti won first place last year for two-story homes at the event for his Christmas decorations. Go take a peek at his old house and historic McIntosh!
