Finally a place to show the images that I love, that no one ever sees! I am staff photographer Erica Brough. I have been shooting full-time at the Star-Banner for almost three years now. What a dream job it is so far! I get to meet everyone in my community including: law officials; politicians; athletes; artists; celebrities; even trouble-makers. I love that no day is the same as the day before. I love that I am driving around all day exploring pockets of the county I may never have had any reason to visit before. I love to explore, and photojournalism is the perfect exploration tool.

I love photography, learning Spanish, camping, snowboarding and traveling. One of my favorite images, that I refer to as "Rainbow Earth," was taken from an airplane window on my return flight from a mission trip I was covering in the Dominican Republic. I kept saying,"Look! Look out the window ya'll!" But it seemed only I was stunned by this beautiful view of a storm from above.

I can't wait to share more of my favorite "slices of life" with the readers. For now...I have a murder trial to photograph...

It's not hard shooting out the window (as long as you actually have the window seat!) You just have to wipe the oily glass, aim and shoot. Thanks for your comment. I think I will post another airplane-window shot...
