Follow all of tonight's Marion County high school football action right here.

West Port's Dennis Jenkins
(Doug Engle/Star-Banner)
Welcome to Week 7 of high school football in Marion County. The Sports Blog is pleased to again be your destination for all-night updates. Check back often - I expect more frequent updates this evening, with the cooperation of many local prep coaches. Their assistance is greatly appreciated.
If you have a minute before the games get started, take a look at capsule previews for tonight's games and Byron Saucer's story on North Marion's homecoming week.
Also, you're welcome to peruse The Sports Blog's Ultimate List and help me fill in the blanks.
Below, tonight's games. Comments are welcome and encouraged.
Gainesville 0 6 6 6
@ North Marion 7 1Q 17 H 30 3Q 30 F
TD - Chuckie Looney hits Albert Gary from 25 yards out with 1:20 in the 1st quarter. Smith's kick makes it 7-0 Colts.
TD - Gainesville gets on the board with a 4-yard keeper by QB Trever Wooden. Colts block the point after, keep the lead.
TD - Eddie Rocker pads the Colts lead with a 1-yard run. North Marion 14-6 with 4:26 to play before halftime.
FG - Smith hits a 36-yard field goal to put North Marion up 17-6.
UPDATE: The lights are out at North Marion, and the game is delayed with the Colts still up 17-6.
TD - Lights are back on, and so are the Colts. Tim Dandy and Albert Gary cross the goal line to blow this game wide open. North Marion 30, Gainesville 6 after three quarters.

Somebody needs to look at the best D in the county, North Marion's D is so nasty. They have 2 LB's better than Mcray, Laroyal Beard who is a Junior, and Brandon Carr who is a sophomore. <br>P.S. Look for Carr to be the best LB in the state in 2009-10

Do the lights go out every other time that North Marion plays at home? Let's see Vanguard last year, Pine Forest, Nease and GHS, that's 4 out of the last 7.

I'm not sure who Westport was playing it look more like they were playing against the official and not another football team. It doesn't matter we love our Wolfpack players.

Westport might want to cut out the cheap shots, then maybe they will "be in the hunt" for some wins.
