New Tampa Bay Rays logos and jerseys hit the Internet.

Initial reaction: um, no. Reaction after further reflection: yeah, alright.
The above is allegedly the way the Tampa Bay Rays - they're officially losing the "Devil" from the nickname - will look next year.
I initially rejected the new scheme, as I'm rather partial to the green and gray get-ups they are currently playing out the string in. But uniforms aren't intended for a knee-jerk reaction. They're something you have to live with for 162 games, or, hopefully one of these days in the franchise's futile existence, more than 162 games.
I think the above are something I could stand to look at on TV and occasional trips to the Trop. They look classy, clean, less expansiony. They're a little boring, sure, but I don't know how exciting you want your team's uniforms to really be.
All in all, I won't have a problem if they put a decent team in them.
