The feature races have wrapped up at Ocala Speedway. Check here for live updates.

Modified Feature

Brent Cooper used persistence and the outside line to get the lead en route to the modified feature win.

Mike Stalnaker brought the six-car field to green for the 25-lap feature. Cooper moved up second at the start, bringing David Castello behind him to third.

After a caution for some fluid on the racetrack, Stalnaker went back to leading with Cooper in pursuit. Cooper tried lap after lap to pass Stalnaker on the outside, but Castello’s close presence never allowed the move to work. Cooper then started looking inside of Stalnaker, even putting a wheel or two in the grass trying to get by, but Stalnaker wouldn’t budge.

Suddenly, Castello spun down the backstretch at on lap 14, bringing out the second caution. Cooper went right back to battling Stalnaker for the lead on the restart.

Cooper went back to the outside and used a big run off turn 2 to get alongside Stalnaker in turn 3. Cooper won the drag race down the frontstretch and slid in front for good. Stalnaker held on for second.

Pure Stock Feature

James Erickson jumped to the lead at the start and led all the way to the finish in the Pure Stock feature. Jesse Corbit moved up to finish second, and Larry Welter held on for third.

Erickson sat on the pole and led every lap, increasing his lead as the race progressed. When he took the checkered flag, he had a half-lap lead over Corbit.

4-Cylinder Feature

Brandon Elwood bested his cousin and a small field of 4-cylinders to win a shortened feature. John Layard finished second with Brandon Elwood coming home third.

Five cars started the 10-lap feature, with Layard jumping out to an early lead. The Elwood cousins battled for second, with Brandon Elwood winning that battle when Justyn Elwood spun in turn 4 on lap 5.

On the restart, Brandon Elwood snuck underneath Layard for the lead as Justyn Elwood moved past Rick Kuhn for third.

Street Stock Feature

Pete Close came from the back of the pack to win the 20-lap street stock feature, besting David Baxley and Brent Cooper.

Shelby Mather sat on the pole and extended his lead early as Close began combing his way through the field. Hall Robinson spun into the backstretch wall on lap 9 to bring out a caution, which in turn allowed the field to catch up to Mather. Cooper took advantage of the closed distance and moved inside of Mather on the restart. He got by Mather just as Leonard Anderson lost a motor in turn 1, bringing out another caution.

Baxley slid past Mather on the restart, bringing Close with him. Close then dug underneath Baxley on lap 13 and got second place. Wasting no time, he went past Cooper on the next lap to take the lead – a lead he wouldn’t give up.

Thunder stocks Feature

Jason Henry moved up from the middle to the front of the pack in the 15-lap Thunder Stock feature, but it wasn’t without controversy.

After a late race spin set up a one-lap shootout, Henry brought the field to green. Allen Hall jumped the start and moved to Henry’s inside, getting past him in turn 1.

But officials disqualified Hall and moved Henry into victory lane.

Sportsman Feature

Shelton Bowers got the lead early and held off a frantic charge from Tim Shull in the closing laps to get his second feature win in three weeks. Shull finished second and Jim Higginbotham held on for third.

Eleven cars started the 20-lap feature, with Higginbotham leading the group to green. Bowers fought back on the outside, and the two came together coming out of turn 4 on lap 2, causing Harold Edwards to break lose behind them.

Edwards spun down the front straightaway right into the path of John Mamph. Mamph T-boned Edwards and then slammed into the outside wall. Both drivers walked away without injury, though their cars were destroyed.

On the restart, Bowers got by Higginbotham as Shull moved to third by moving Greg Young out of the way. Shull slid past Higginbotham on lap 8 and then set his sights on Bowers.

Shull caught Bowers in a hurry and worked to get past him for several laps. Bowers kept his car low and held on during the final 10 laps to take the win.

8:45 p.m. -- The features are next at Ocala Speedway with double points up for grabs. Check back for live updates.

8:30 p.m. -- Don Strosel went from the lead to the pits during the lone modified heat race. After being spun by Robbie Cooper in turn 4 and David Castello in turn 1, Strosel’s rear-end suspension snapped coming out of turn 2. Strosel bounced backward off the outside wall, leaving his car too damaged to continue.

7:30 p.m. -- Rain came down all around Ocala but not at the track. With track activities running on schedule, expect the features to start around 8:30 p.m. You can get all the results right here, so check back often.
