Michael Josey, the senior forest ranger for the Division of Forestry in Marion County, walks past a cogon grass fire demonstration at the Indian Lake State Forest off of Northeast 40 Avenue Road in Ocala, Fla. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. The burn demonstration was put on by Marion County Fire Rescue, the Division of Forestry and other members of the wildlands task force. Residents were warned about the dangers of cogon grass. Cogon grass is very flammable and residents were warned to not let it grow too close to their homes because of the fire danger. Leeward flew the Ford Tri-Motor, the oldest passenger plane in the world, during filming for the movie "Amelia" in Toronto from May 6-16. In one scene, a night flight over Washinton, D.C., Leeward flies the plane as Amelia Earhart. In another, he flies the plane as Eleanor Roosevelt. The film, which stars Hilary Swank and Richard Gere is scheduled to be released in 2009.

Chris Mason, age 14, right, and Jacob Fuller, age14, both of Ocala, are from Boy Scout Troop 439, and have recently earned their Eagle Scout awards.
Fuller painted the Youth House and cleared brush at the Fort King Presbyterian Church, in Ocala. Mason built nesting boxes for Southeastern Kestrels at the Silver River for their Eagle Scout projects.
