The heat continues... it's killing us spiritually. We're starting to snipe at each other. There's a lot of love, but even Elvis would get on the Lisa Marie and jet out of here during this heatwave.

Double concert recap: Lisa's dynamite with dad, and she's pregnant

The back-to-back concerts at the FedEx Forum were one powerful show. Elvis was in great form and he was joined on stage by his original band and orchestra members and daughter Lisa Marie Presley, who is with child.

Second day Insider's Conference; more Priscilla

The Elvis Insiders Conference concluded today, with the advertised visit by Priscilla Presley (but some of us had seen her last night during a surprise visit to a charity dinner). We get some famous Memphis barbecue and hear some hot gospel on the hot, hot front lawn of Graceland.

Priscilla Presley surprises dinner guests; Insiders COnference

Priscilla Presley made a surprise appearance at the Elvis Presley Memorial Dinner, hosted at the Peabody Hotel by his former nurse Marian Cocke. Priscilla NEVER does that, getting so close to a room packed with more than 800 fans, I mean surrounded by them. Whew! Will write more later. Meantime, here's the report from Elvis Insiders COnference that took place earlier in the day, but then I couldn't get the computer to transmit it until now.

We hear from EPE staffers during the annual Fan Club Presidents Event (used to be a meal, now just T-shirt and ad bag); and listen to Sonny West speak during Bill Burk's luncheon at Marlowes.

I'll be in Memphis, Tenn., based at the Heartbreak Hotel, for Elvis Week 2007. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley. The week will be filled with activities ranging from sock hops to the moving Candlelight Vigil. And I'll be there -- Taking Care of Business!
